The latest from RB...

Hi all,

Hope you are well.

Radio Basingstoke appreciates all the support it has received, but we are still on the lookout for people who are interested in getting involved. Please take a look and see if the following interests you....

Are you retired, disabled, a student, are you stuck at home with time on your hands, are you looking for something interesting to do, live within Basingstoke or surrounding area, have your own PC and you are PC literate? If you said yes to most of these questions, email astrid@radiobasingstoke.co.uk

We need a reliable person to spare a few hours a day/week to help run a world wide internet radio station, to assist with the programme scheduling etc. No expense to yourself and no experience necessary, training will be given, either at your home or on one of our PCs. This is a unique opportunity to learn something slightly different, and work from home!

Radio Basingstoke is also looking for 'go-getters' sales reps for the business, operating on commission based payment. If that's you or someone you know who you think would be interested, then please let us know and email astrid@radiobasingstoke.co.uk

All the very best,

Louis

RB

Any idea why you aren't listed on my Internet radio ? Thanks

Hmm I guess not - one of the things you need to resolve is interacting with a potential market on any platform you put yourself on. Having blog is good, having people who comment is better - not interacting with them just makes them walk away ../

Well Mark, I believe you left a similar comment to this previously - to which I also responded.

For one, you are not being specific. Which internet radio list is this? Obviously some lists and sites are more aware of certain internet radio providers than others, and of course we endeavour to not only respond to our public but to promote and push Radio Basingstoke as far as we can.

I thank you for your comment, but if you do leave something such as this, you need to be more specific so we can try to rectify the problem.

Thanks.

Thanks for the response. Im sure you will appreciate it's a little frustrating to have the pc on just to listen to the radio.

I have a Freecom MusicPal - the station doesn't appear under UK in the directory. Im guessing that you won't appear under the Shoutcast directory as you don't stream using that feature ?

thanks

I presume not, but it is possible to listen through PSPs, mobiles and a number of other devices, so it might be best to contact our General Manager at astrid@radiobasingstoke.co.uk, as she will most likely be able to suggest a suitable way of listening to RB for you.

Thanks again for the interest and support.
